All US 300ZX VINs are in the database. There is nothing automatic about the registry. You have to input any changes you want. Ideally, if a car gets wrecked and sent to the scrap heap, it would be nice if the owner would go back and update the VIN accordingly. From time to time, I've added a number of e-bay auctions for different VINs. But there is no way to confirm via the registry if a car is really still on the road or has been scrapped.
